I personally experienced the journey from pension to the centre and back through the steep hill. Certificate of Excellence The historic Hotel Wieser is located in Campo di Trens/Freienfeld, a five-minute drive from Vipiteno/Sterzing. We personally think the location is great, easy access to the ski resort, if in the winter, and also have the access to the village. They clearly have made many updates since the reviews I just read from a few years ago here, we didn't seem to running into any of the issues people have mentioned. We would be very happy to welcome you again in our hotel. The new section of the hotel was under construction at that time. The only problem would be car is necessary to go almost everywhere, as downtown and good restaurants are a good 20-25 minutes walk away and on the way back the road is quite steep. Its ancient walls, witnesses of an eventful past, hold modern amenities, warm hospitality, attentive service and a smiling staff. Own or manage this property? You won't regret anything about staying here - except when you have to leave. Rooms are huge and comfortable, clean and the staff just so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was just okey.not much choice. Very nice and greatfull introduction by Mr Wieser, excelent location, very clean and maintained rooms and common spaces, rich breakfast with great eggs prepared on your demand.

The hotel is located a bit far from the city center but in the middle of a pist, so if there is enough snow you can reach to your hotel skiing: through a black pist though.but it's not thAt scary (doable for beginner - intermediates). Thank you for your excellent rating.
